It tastes even btter than it looks! Papa Joe's is known throughout Central Florida as THE PLACE to dine. This is the To Go that Papa Joe brought to delight us at the MICROTEL MIC broadcast on Monday, March 1st.
Papa Joe brought "Italian" to the Microtel Mic Broadcast and Chef Pierre from his Hill House Bed and Breadfast Cafe furnished the "devine" breadfast pancakes. We ate GOOD and had a good time.

I discovered Uncle John's Pride in Tampa. Kevin and the Crofton family make an outstanding sausage - in flavors, too. I hope you get a chance to try it. Check out the Crofton and Sons website and see where you can buy it. You can order on line, too. My personal favorite is Italian and Gwen loves the blueberry, yes blueberry sausage. As far as I know, you can get it at Sweetbay and the Italian and others are available at Winn-Dixie. Flan and Cappucino El Leoncito Style Its beautiful and delicious. I, along with everyone in Titusville agrees that this is the BEST MEXICAN CUISINE in the area. The location is perfect, overlooking the Indian River and the Cape (great for launches), the service is the best and the food is really, really GOOD! The day we did our RADIO GRILL remote we were so busy EATING the GREAT FOOD that we forgot to take pictures of the entrees until we took a break and the exquisite Flan and PERFECT CAPPUCINO were served.

Recently at the Titusville Farmers Market, I discovered the masterful work of another chef, Jean-Pierre who bakes amazing breads and sells exquisite marinated olives. He and his family winter in Florida and Summer in my home state, Illinois. Jean-Pierre, along with Paula, Jean-Louis, Stephanie and Laura take great pride in their work and sell their products at local farmers markets. So, you'll see him around for at least a few months. As I've mentioned on the show, I was in Chicago starting December 14th. I touched down at 11:00 AM and before I got too far, Marjorie and Walter wisked me off to breakfast at one of their favorite places, The Sunrise Grill in DesPlaines on Touhy Avenue. I ate breakfast and decided that the food was prepared by a real pro. As I suspected, Jose the owner had worked at many prestigious places - The SwissHotel and Four Seasons, to mention only two. Without hesitation we made reservations to return for dinner. Jose and his partner, German Rivera operate in a small strip mall in an out of the way location, however the food is OUTSTANDING. If you're in the Chicago area, do yourself a favor and check out the Sunrise Grill. Here are a few pictures we snapped with my cell phone.



This is Jose Medina with another exceptional dish. With the right venue, I predict that Jose could become one of the top chefs in the entire Chicagoland area.
And dessert was exceptional...the BEST Pumpkin Marscapone Cheesecake I ever had and my Sister-In-law, Marjorie the professional baker totally agrees.
