and Who We Are

ChefLarry and wife, Gwen with their Mascot JOCKAMO have been enjoying entertaining guests over the Florida airwaves since 2002 when they began their RADIO GRILL radio show at WPBR in West Palm Beach.   Gwen began her broadcasting career in Chicago and had become a California air personality when she met the popular new Chicago executive chef on a visit home.  Their individual careers continued well into their marriage.  His jobs took them all over the country, while Gwen picked up voice-over and radio work wherever they landed.       They began working together in their own restaurant in Malibu. The couple shared their life with their cats, Giovanni, Charco and Asti, the beloved Afghan,Windsor and the lively Husky Jockamo.  As their guys grew old and life moved on they were left with only one "child" and several more moves. After years of cultivating the "radio grill" idea, Gwen convinced ChefLarry to join her on the airwaves.  It began in a South Florida radio studio with ChefLarry bringing in a George Foreman grill and actually cooking while they conducted a live radio show while and he and Gwen casually chatting with the guests as they dined. They moved to a ClearChannel station and began broadcasting LIVE remotes from different restaurants in Palm Beach, then Ft. Lauderdale, then Miami and finally in the Tampa Bay area.  An Executive Chef position at Parrish Medical Center brought them to Titusville.  ChefLarry's Speedshop Cafe' in Orlando at the Central Florida Chrysler Jeep Dodge dealership was next.  This was the path that created ChefLarry's in Historic Downtown Titusville. 

We are humbled by the tremendous response of the folks who have come to ChefLarry's NEW location at 1111 South Washington in our adopted hometown of Titusville.  We both grew up in the Hospitality Business and that's why we feel most hospitable cooking and serving all of our friends neighbors.  We keep the prices affordable, with great quality and service.  You might see the Mayor sitting next to a school teacher, sitting next to a musician, next to a janitor, next to a pastor, next to a doctor or nurse, next to a Councilman, next to a farmer, next to a businessman, next to your neighbor, next to your kid's friend's mom and dad, next to a rocket scientist, next to a clerk, next to a judge, next to a visitor from Orlando or West Palm Beach, next to a surfer, next to students, next to local retailers and office workers, next to a Red Hat group.  They are all our regulars.  Thank You.
